POCO featured in film at the Roots Exhibit
Pamela Slaughter and People of Color Outdoors are honored to have been featured in a film produced by the amazing Chad Brown. The film shares three short stories as told from the perspective of BIPOC environmental leaders in Oregon. It is a traveling exhibit that launched in June, 2024 at the Tillamook Forestry Center.


TEDx 2025 Announcement!
I am so honored to tell you that on April 12, 2025, I was able to stand on the TEDx stage at the University of the Pacific to share a message that is very close to my heart: Children as environmental champions. This talk explored how powerful the leadership of children can be during our time of climate change and environmental crisis. TEDx is all about spreading ideas that inspire, challenge, and transform perspectives.
