Nature has been my greatest teacher. Through each of these books, I hope to help children and adults slow down, look more closely, and discover that extraordinary beauty and wildlife can be found all around us.

My first children's book, Hi! My Name is Robin! introduces young readers to one of North America's most familiar birds while encouraging curiosity, observation, and a love of the natural world.

My Urban Wetlands of Portland series celebrates three of Portland's remarkable urban wetlands. Through stories, history, ecology, and photographs, these books invite readers to discover the beauty, resilience, and ecological importance of these often-overlooked natural treasures.

 

At People of Color Outdoors, we believe that people protect what they know and love. My hope is that these books inspire readers of all ages to explore, learn, and become lifelong stewards of the places that make our communities healthier, more resilient, and more beautiful.
